As we have been updating you in our Badaganadu Bhavana building project section, we achieved the first major success in that the cellar/basement of our building was completed (nearly 75%) and we could hold our 19^th Annual General Body Meeting there and feed the 120-odd Members who participated with a traditional Plantain-leaf, Obbattu lunch! Work on the Ground Floor has now been taken up and we are hopeful of its completion by March 2009.

 

We also received on this occasion a major donation towards the construction of a room in our proposed Students Hostel. The families of our Members Sri N.S.Venkatesh & Smt. H.V.Manjula, Sri N.S. Lakshmipathy & Smt. N.L.Rama in Mysore and Smt. Kamala & Smt. Padma in Nanjangud have donated the tidy sum of Rs. 80,000, which is a major part of the estimated construction cost of a room, in memory of their parents Late Sri. N.L.Subbarayappa (a reputed Lawyer in Nanjangud) and Smt. Sundaramma. All such donors will surely be remembered with many heartfelt thanks at present and with a wall-plaque at the appropriate time.
