Success story of our Secretary and Veteran Athlete Sri N.R.Shankar Rao
Believe it or not - he has done it again, not withstanding
his 78 years!!!!!! This time it was at the 27th Karnataka
Masters State
Athletic Championship held at Chitradurga on 14th and 15th April 2007. True to
his nick name Nadige Shankar, he has won a GOLD medal
in the 5 km walk event by covering it in 34.49 minutes! Two
more GOLD medals came his way in RUNNING 100m and 200 m
events, in 17.8 and 9.5 seconds respectively!! All these golds were in
the 75+ age group! Remarkable success, Shankar, keep it up! As always, all our
