Newsletter No. 8 for May 2007
Well, unlike April, May has been a very quiet month for us,
enabling us to finalise the accounts of the Haasya Sanje programme and the
Women's Day celebrations. Many of those who put in a lot of effort towards the
success of these events needed a break and this month really provided it. We have posted photographs taken at both events on our web site. Please have a look.
The Badaganadu Bhavana project
The Buildings Committee has met twice and been active finalizing the plan for seeking approval by the General Body scheduled for June/July. It is only after this approval that the building work can really take off. The fencing work however is being taken up immediately and will be ready before the end of this month. That is a beginning and the Sathyanarayana Puja will be the first auspicious function there, in our own enclosed premises! Read more about our plans for the building here.
Nadige Shankar going to Italy
Our Secretary Nadige Shankar is once again in the news.....this time International News! He has been selected to represent India at the International Masters Meet in Italy in September and he is already very busy preparing for the big event!! We are very sure that he will bring a few medals and laurels for the country. More details are awaited and we will keep you posted. For the present, from all of us, hearty congratulations on the selection for the country!
