Let me at the outset wish every one of you, our Members and Non-members alike, a prosperous, happy and enjoyable Ugadi (Sarvajit Samvatsara). May all your dreams come true and the efforts bring in the prosperity you desire!!

Events

Preparations for the coming fund-raising event HAASYA SANJE on the 1^st of April have taken up most of our time this month. With an idea of involving every one of its 600 strong Members of the Balaga, the organizing committee has arranged for a near door-to-door distribution of about 700 Donor Passes at a nominal donation of Rs. 100 for 2 adults, children coming in free! Other levels of donation requested are Rs. 500, 1000, 5000, 10000 and above. Besides these, Major and Co-Sponsorships have also been obtained from Non-members, Philanthropists, Industries and other types of Organisations. We hope to realize a sum of at least Rs. 75000 after all expenses, which should be good enough for a first attempt like this. But, for more exact information about the end result, you have to wait for our next Newsletter!

News about the Badaganadu Bhawan site

Several alternative plans have been prepared keeping in mind the multipurpose nature of the proposed Badaganadu Bhawan Complex. These are being discussed by the Executive committee this week and a final plan will emerge, which we will surely put up on the website in due course. You are welcome to send in your suggestions as well as specific donations for specific portions of the building project as already mentioned in our website. A Building Committee under the leadership of our able Member, Sri B.N.Prabhakar, is likely to be entrusted with the construction of the Complex as soon as possible. Once the construction gets started, we have been promised a grant from our local Member of Parliament, and we are sure a number of you will also like to chip-in!
