Hello there!

Very happy POST-DEEPAVALI greetings to all of you! Hope you had enjoyable Dasara and Deepavali celebrations with your family, friends and relatives. May the Festival of Lights bring you enjoyment and prosperity for the rest of the year, too!

As you might have already noticed, in our effort to make this newsletter easier to read, we have streamlined its contents by providing a table-of-contents at the top, to help you jump directly to the section of your interest. Sathyanarayana Pooja

Sathyanarayana PoojaThe Balaga celebrated Sathyanarayana Pooja at the Saraswathipuram Thenginathota premises  (SAMATHENTHO) on the 15th of October 2006. Participation in the pooja was overwhelming and indeed surpassed our expectations!

Member Felicitation

The Balaga felicitated Dr.G.A.Ravishankar, Bio-Technology Scientist at the Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) Mysore, on his being awarded the prestigious Young Scientist Award by the Govt. of India. He is an active Balaga member and a close relative of our Secretary Sri Shankar Rao. We wish many more such, and even greater, recognitions in the coming years.
